Today was a day once again busy with appointments...doctors appointments. All of us had to go and get immunizations. The kids had to get there second round of shots, the next time will be in mid October. I must say they were quite brave! Not a fun thing but at least we know that they are protected against typhoid, Japanese encephalitis, and some others that I just can't remember! Everyone has also gotten a physical and received a clean bill of health, for that we are thankful. So I guess we really get to move!
We still do not know if the house we would like to live in will work out or not. I was thinking about it today and realized that I may not know which house we will live in but God does. Ultimately he has the perfect house picked out for our family. It is hard to believe that just one month ago Ted and I were in India! Time goes so quickly, just remind me of that in six months!

India here we come
It is just amazing to think that we are moving to India. My sister is convinced that God has been grooming us for India all along, after all we are from INDIAna! Some days I feel so overwhelmed at the thought of moving and think there is no possible way we (mostly me!) can make this move. But I am just learning that I really just need to trust in God. He has taken care of our family this long and I am sure he won't forget about us in India. There have been so many things occurring during this process that you can clearly see that God has his hand in it. The encouragement that we receive from family and friends has just been incredible. Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers. Hopefully India will be an incredible experience for our whole family. Ted is so excited about the job and the opportunities that come with it. We are looking forward to seeing parts of the world that would never be in reach if we stayed in Illinois. I think that it will be wonderful for us to witness how a huge percentage of the world's population live. We will truly realize how blessed we are as Americans and will look forward to coming back here.
I must say that our visit to India wasn't as bad as I expected. I didn't see any snakes, I was certain as the plane landed they would be slithering all over the runway. But no snakes! It is funny how we have these preconceived notions of India. I also imagined seeing dead people on the street. Well, I only saw one dead person and it happen to be a funeral procession. Although someone in India reminded me that I might have seen others but I just thought they were sleeping. I will like to continue thinking they are just taking a little nap! My oldest brother reminded me when I was whining about moving that this move was not all about me. Well, in an email to him I agreed that it wasn't just about me, it was about me living with 5 million other people! Actually Chennai doesn't feel that large of a city. They do not have the tall buildings like you would expect. There are lots of people but everyone seems to be going somewhere. Traffic is...well lets just say interesting. I had to laugh because the lines on the road are merely decorations. No one pays attention to them. The traffic is amazing, it works. In the states there would be so much road rage if people drove like the Indians do. They are amazingly polite to each other.
If any one would like to come visit India, now is the time! So get your passports ready!
